In this lesson for the Christmas season, we’ll dig deeper into why the 2nd person of the Triune Godhead HAD to come to earth and be born fully a man.
Read John 1:1-4 &15 and 1 Timothy 2:5-6. So Jesus was God made man who came from heaven to pay for our sins on that cross. But why? If God wanted to forgive us- why didn’t he just forgive us? Why the cross? And why did it have to be God himself?
Ponder these questions and come to home group with your answers. There, we’ll see how redemption could come no other way. We’ll see that all the spiritual blessings we enjoy are available only because God became man.
