Pastor Dave reminded us that God chose this time and society for us to be born into. We didn’t choose. God did. Therefore each one of us has a part to play in God’s plan and vision for us and our society. At home group this week we will explore how to receive God-given vision for your own life in relationship to our church, our community and our nation. We’ll ask, “Why is vision so important and, how do you gain vision from God?”
Vision is “a God-inspired view of the world and the circumstances around you and His purposes in them. Vision allows you to see circumstances from God’s perspective and how you fit in.” Unlocking the Kingdom, Mark Hoffman, pg113
- Where can a person find God’s perspective on every aspect of life?
- Do you personally have a sense of God’s calling for your life? Are you confident that you know where you fit in to the big picture with God?
Read Proverbs 29:18. A lack of vision causes people to “perish” (KJV), or to become “unrestrained” (NASB). How do you suppose that works? How does ignorance of God’s purpose for your life lead to loose (unrestrained) morals? How does knowing God’s purpose lead to restraint (boundaries) in your morals and relationships?
