Don Bastrom's Pick for August/September:

Disciplines of a Godly Man

by R. Kent Hughes

From Don: We will never get anywhere in life or ministry without discipline. Personal discipline is the indispensable key to accomplishing goals in your life. Romans 3:9-18 is a great passage for this, and it tells us, "Therefore, as children of grace, our spiritual discipline is everything." EVERYTHING! Best book I've used to disciple/mentor men and a great read for study on your own.

Linda Hoffman's Pick for August/September:

Find Balance: Thriving in a do-it-all world

by Shaunti Feldhahn

From Linda: This book (for women only) helps you discover God's roadmap to peace, rest, and order in this crazy, contemporary life. Find Balance is HIGHLY PRACTICAL and equips you to experience more of life with fewer regrets, minimize stress, find clear direction about God's priorities for you, and develop a personal plan for fulfilling God's calling for you.

Kevin Miller's Pick for August/September:

Crazy Love

by Francis Chan

From Kevin: Chris Tomlin expressed how Francis Chan makes me feel every time I hear him preach or read one of his books. In the foreword of Crazy Love he says, "Francis is one of those rare people you come across in life who leaves you wanting to be better." It is a challenging message drenched in love. This book sent me back to the Bible to see what Jesus said and drove me to do it.

David LaBahn's Pick for August/September:

Boundaries: When to Say Yes, When to Say No, to Take Control of Your Life

by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend

From David: This is a great book for learning how to heal relationships and/or putting up boundaries in particular relationships that are not healthy. It explains how to do this in a godly and healthy way.

Marc Dupont's Pick for August/September:

Behold the Lamb

by Mark Curtis

From Marc: This book covers the history of the Jeffrey brothers who turned the UK upside down with the gospel in the '20s and '30s. It vividly illustrates how powerfully God can move in the recent history of a western nation.
