Worship Night

Wednesday, November 06, 2024, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Dear Church Family,

The upcoming election is expected to be very close, and emotions are running high. While we don't know what the outcome will be, we do know one thing for certain: God is in control.

I am reminded of a conversation my father had with Charles Simpson during the 2016 election, which he shared with us a few weeks ago. My dad asked Charles for his thoughts on the presidential election. Charles said, "If Trump wins, he will protect religious freedom, and that is a good thing. If Clinton wins, then God will purify the church through the ill treatment of the church, and that is also a good thing." Either way, our assignment remains the same—to worship God and look to Him. The Bible calls us to rejoice and praise God in all circumstances. Regardless of the various outcomes in this election, our proper response is to worship and give Him thanks.

With this in mind, we invite you to join us for a special Night of Worship this Wednesday, November 6, the day after the election—at 6:00 PM in the sanctuary. Childcare for 5 & under, first come, first served.

We will gather to:
Worship our Sovereign King, who is so good to us.
Celebrate the significant and faithful efforts of our church during this election season. Surely, God is pleased with our accomplishments as faithful stewards. (We will give a report Tuesday night.)
Celebrate victories and encourage one another through any setbacks in this election.
Align our hearts with God's perspective on the election outcomes.
Rejoice in the goodness of God, His faithfulness, unfailing promises, and His unshakeable Kingdom.
Hear from our pastors about the way forward and God's purposes for us.
Pray for revival in our nation.

We hope to see you there as we come together in unity, praising God and seeking His guidance for the days ahead.

In Christ,
Pastor Neil Hoffman
