Pastor Neil’s sermon was titled The Uninvited. In it he said, “God calls us to do something that is against our very nature. He calls us to be set apart… Uninvited. He calls us to look different and he even calls us to smell different. 2 Cor 2:15 - For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” In this lesson we’ll dig deeper into some of the potential hardships for disciples of Christ and the remarkable rewards for those who are loyal to Him.
Read Luke 9:26. This passage points out an important rule for life: It is always way better to risk censure for Christ than to risk censure by Christ. What does it say about a person if they are embarrassed by Christ? But to those who overcome the pressures to conform, and instead remain loyal to Jesus, the scriptures offer wonderful promises!
