In the sermon, Pastor Mark explained that so many Christians don’t truly understand the times they live in because they don’t understand themselves. They are subject to a false identity. He explained that our true identity is entirely wrapped up and defined by the covenant we enjoy with God. In this week’s lesson we will dig deeper into the covenant between God and us, the covenant upon which our identity and every blessing from God relies.
Come to home group prepared to discuss these questions: 1) Does God have moods? 2) Does God love everyone the same?
Now, read 2 Chronicles 6:14, Deuteronomy 7:9, and Psalms 89:34. What do these passages reveal about God and covenant? Can God be counted on to invariably keep up His end of a covenant?
Read Psalm25:10 and Psalms 103:17-18. Are the blessings of God scattered about indiscriminately or are His blessing focused on certain people? To what kind of person does God’s blessing accrue?
