Youth Worker Training

One of our highest priorities at Foothills is youth.  Over the years we've learned a thing or two about working with this very special group of people and we share that experience with others who have a heart for young people in the form of our Youth Worker Training workshops.

Our training workshops are open to youth pastors and directors, volunteers, Sunday school teachers, junior high and high school teachers, small group leaders and anyone else desiring to get involved in youth ministry. In the workshops we review practical ideas and resources that have proven to be effective with young people for many years in our youth ministry.

The next workshop

Join us Saturday, October 22nd, 9:00am-2:00pm at Foothills Christian Church for our next Youth Worker Training workshop.  It will be held in our Youth Building located at 315 West Bradley Avenue in El Cajon.  We will provide lunch, a variety of useful resources for working with young people, fellowship with other youth pastors and volunteers, and a copy of Mark Hoffman’s latest book, The Joshua Principle.

This training will focus on the topic, “Outreach that Works.” You will learn:

  • Why We Need To Reach Out
  • How to Reach Out Without Hurting Your Core
  • Outreach Even Your Pastor Can’t Say No To
  • Strategy That Works, How to Go Where They Are
  • Getting Started in Campus Ministry

The training is presented by Mark Hoffman, Danny Eslinger, Mike VanMeter and Jeremy Miller.
