In the sermon, Pastor Mark taught from 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, “we have this treasure in earthen vessels…” Reread that passage and come to home group ready to discuss: How do you suppose the “life of Jesus manifests” in our life? What does that look like for a working man, a housewife, a student?
Pastor Mark explained that, while many people have dreams of being great in some area- few actually achieve greatness. Our dreams/ambitions often exceed our abilities. But why should this not discourage or cause Christians to lose hope? What reason do we have to forge ahead in faith with the vision God’s given us- even though we aren’t up to the task?
